Product Description

Evapcon is a specialized, high-performance CO₂ heat exchanger that enables simultaneous evaporation of process fluids and condensation of process gases. By leveraging liquid CO₂ as the refrigerant on both the shell and tube sides, Evapcon allows efficient energy transfer between two thermal processes within one integrated system. This not only improves energy utilization but also contributes to sustainable process operations.

The unit employs a self-cooling shell and tube heat exchanger design, which eliminates the need for external cooling sources and makes it a highly efficient thermal solution. Evapcon has been engineered to support modern industrial applications where space, efficiency, and emissions matter more than ever.

Functionality

At its core, Evapcon uses a self-refrigerated mechanism to condense CO₂ gas by utilizing liquid CO₂. The process involves:

  • Circulating liquid CO₂ through the shell side
  • Allowing the process CO₂ gas to flow through the tube side
  • Simultaneous condensation of gas and evaporation of fluid inside a single unit
  • During this process, other process fluids can also be evaporated—effectively transferring energy between two phases within a single unit.

This integrated approach transfers thermal energy effectively between the two processes, delivering a compact and performance-efficient solution that significantly lowers the overall energy demand of the system.
