Researcher in Mass Transfer and Gas Field (CO2 Capture, Flue Gases, etc.):

Role

Senior Research Scientist / Chemical Engineering Researcher

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting advanced research on mass transfer techniques for the optimization of processes
related to gas fields, flue gases, and CO2 capture technologies.
  •  Innovating new approaches and methodologies for improving efficiency in mass transfer
processes, particularly in the context of environmental sustainability and industrial applications.
  • Developing, testing, and refining new materials or technologies for the capture of CO2 from flue
gas emissions, contributing to solutions for mitigating climate change.
  • Publishing research findings in academic journals and collaborating with industry stakeholders,
government agencies, and academic institutions to bring innovations to market.
  • Leading a team of junior researchers, mentoring them in experimental design, data analysis, and
    the interpretation of results.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on projects related to sustainable industrial
processes, energy efficiency, and carbon capture.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience: 5 to 7 years of hands-on research experience in chemical engineering, mass
transfer, and gas separation technologies (particularly CO2 capture and flue gas treatment).
  •  Education: M.Sc. in Chemistry or B.E. in Chemical Engineering, with a focus on mass transfer
    operations or environmental engineering.
  •  Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in experimental design, data interpretation, and
software tools for modeling and simulation of chemical processes. Familiarity with lab-scale
experiments, pilot plants, and field studies.
  • Technical Expertise: A deep understanding of gas separation techniques, CO2 capture
mechanisms, and mass transfer in chemical processes. Familiarity with the latest innovations
and trends in environmental sustainability technologies.

Desired Competencies:

  • Proven track record of published research in high-impact journals or patents related to gas
separation, mass transfer, or CO2 capture.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate within the context of industrial and
    environmental challenges.
  • Collaboration and communication skills to work across various departments, such as R&D,
    production, and regulatory bodies.
