Water Degassing

Water Deaeration

Water deaeration is a critical process for maintaining the quality of beer and other beverages. Oxygen leads to oxidation, which harms the beer’s flavor profile and drastically reduces its shelf life, making it the greatest enemy of any brew. To prevent oxygen from entering the finished product, oxygen-free feed water for blending is essential—a goal achieved through water deaeration.

This process is indispensable for the beverage industry, with various methods available depending on economic conditions, space constraints, and production requirements. Choosing the right water deaeration system ensures optimal quality and long-term success.

What we offer

Water deaeration techniques range from simple systems to highly advanced and expensive setups. Hypro offers a turnkey solution with its Deaerated Water Plant, designed to meet global standards. Our customized solutions cater to various customer requirements, including capacity options, single or dual-column designs, and fully or semi-automatic operations.

Hypro’s water deaeration system ensures microbial safety, minimal energy consumption, and the lowest oxygen levels—less than 10 ppb—delivering unmatched quality and efficiency for the beverage industry.

Area of Application

Hypro launched the Water Deaeration System back in 2018. Our plant facilitates an end number of industries wiz Brewing, Food & Beverage, Cosmetics, Chemical, as well as Pharmaceuticals. DeOXY Plant comes with breakthrough technology, low energy cost, and low commissioning cost.

DAW Application

Hypro DeOXY Plant produces brewing quality water which is used to dilute
beer in the
high-gravity brewing process.

Naturally occurring water contains up to 10–12 ppm of dissolved oxygen, which adversely affects the flavor and stability of beer. To maintain quality, water deaeration is crucial, especially during the preparation of strong wort with high alcohol content. Feed water that comes into direct contact with fermented beer must be thoroughly degassed and precisely deoxygenated to preserve the beer’s integrity and ensure optimal results.
