Role

Manufacturing of pressure vessels and Heat Exchangers, Manpower Planning & Handling, Shop Floor Activities, Dispatch Planning. Handle all factory operations and report to the management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee fabrication of pressure vessels and heat exchangers per ASME, TEMA, and PED standards.
  •  Ensure material selection aligns with project specifications.
  •  Implement stage-wise inspections and maintain traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
  •  Allocate manpower effectively to meet production targets.
  •  Provide training to shop floor personnel on welding techniques (SMAW, GTAW), machining operations (turning, drilling, milling), and safety protocols.
  •  Monitor and evaluate the performance of shop floor activities, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  •  Coordinate the dispatch of finished products, ensuring timely delivery to clients.
  •  Prepare and review dispatch documentation, including inspection reports and shipping manifests.
  •  Liaise with clients to confirm delivery schedules and address any concerns.
  •  Examine manufacturing and assembly drawings for accuracy and compliance with design specifications.
  • Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with relevant standards, including ASME, ISO, and CE marking requirements.
  •  Utilize ERP and SAP systems for inventory management, order tracking, and reporting.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for manufacturing processes, including material, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Monitor project budgets, identifying areas for cost reduction without compromising quality.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
  •  Implement and enforce safety standards on the shop floor to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  •  Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with environmental and safety regulations.
  •  Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential hazards.
  •  Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, and quality assurance departments.
  •  Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and suppliers.
  •  Address and resolve any issues that arise during the manufacturing process, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Education & Experience​

  • B.E Mechanical with 18-20 experience in EPC companies for Breweries, Fruit processing, Beverage, Pharma
  • Practical knowledge of SS, fabrication

Knowledge/Skills

  • Practical knowledge of SS, fabrication
  •  Machining Knowledge – Turning, Drilling, Milling, Grooving, forming, Welding – SMAW, GTAW
  •  Manufacturing of pressure vessels and Heat Exchangers as per international codes, skid assemblies of equipment, piping and rotary equipment.
  •  Strong organizational Leadership and English communication skills, Budgeting, Costing workout, Manufacturing Drawing Checking, Process & planning Skills, Multi Projects Handling, etc.
  •  knowledge of engineering principles and ability to create and read technical drawings
  •  ERP, SAP, ISO, ASME, CE marked job knowledge
  •  Knowledge of Hygienic Pipe fittings, Skid Systems
  •  CNC Machine knowledge is must.
  •  Organization and time management to complete work to project deadlines
  •  A flexible approach to decision making
  •  Problem solving, creativity and innovation in order to come up with solutions
  •  Knowledge of health and safety requirements in order to design in line with industry standard
